Achievements:

I have represented both buyers and sellers in multitudes of real estate transactions throughout Montana, Idaho and Wyoming and have been involved directly, or assisted in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of transactions in my career. From day one, I have concentrated primarily on premium fishing and hunting properties, and have sold a number of outstanding sporting ranches over the years. A good deal of the people I have been fortunate to work with hold strong conservation ethics, and have spent considerable effort and financial resources, to further enhance their properties for wildlife. Several have also chosen to do their part in protecting the integrity of the landscape by placing their properties in conservation easements. My clients and customers are typically very serious and passionate about wild, unspoiled places and the sporting life – something that I relate to very well.

Personal:

I hunt and fish as much as I possibly can and practically grew up with a fly rod in hand. A resident of Montana since 1975, I have spent a considerable amount of my life chasing trout. As a natural evolution of this passion, I worked for nine years as a fishing guide on the many world-class trout waters of southwest and south central Montana, and have ventured to Alaska, several Canadian Provinces, Russia, South America and saltwater destinations with fly rod in tow. I am also an avid big game and bird hunter. Hunting principally with traditional archery equipment, I have been fortunate enough to harvest many species of western big game over some thirty-five years of bowhunting in Montana and Canada. Montana is a bird hunter’s paradise, and through the years, I have taken advantage of this marvelous resource as much as time has allowed. I have walked countless miles with my bird dogs, over a lot of Montana real estate in pursuit of Hungarian partridge, blue, ruffed and sharptail grouse, pheasants and waterfowl.

I also enjoy music, particularly bluegrass, and have played the banjo for around 35 years – the last 25 years or so, with several regional bands.
