Located on the northern edge of the Little Belt Mountains, Limestone Butte Ranch is an exceptional deer and elk hunting property in a convenient yet quiet part of central Montana. The 1,000-foot abrupt rise of the butte from the surrounding prairie provides incredible views in all directions. The intermingled limestone canyons contrast with the timber and grass terraces and plateaus.  The Highwood Mountains are close to the north and the nearby peaks of the Little Belts are to the south. The “Front” of the Rockies are visible to the west, and the Moccasins, Judith, and Snowy Mountains are to the east.

Limestone Butte rises from the surrounding prairies providing exceptional habitat for game animals and birds, with game animal numbers increasing sharply in the fall and winter months. With a history of grazing and timber management, the more than 20 miles of roads throughout the ranch provide for exceptional access by foot, horse, ATV, snowmobile, or auto. The ranch is only 50 miles east of Great Falls, central Montana’s major trade center, with its international airport, restaurants, and shopping.
