The Rolling Thunder Ranch is located approximately one hour from Jackson Hole, Wyoming in Sublette County, near the small community of Bondurant. Rolling Thunder is accessible from Hwy 191 on a well-maintained gravel road. The Sublette County Airport is located approximately 45 miles from the ranch and can accommodate most private jets. Commercial service is available in Jackson Hole and is serviced by Delta, United, American and Northwest.
Consisting of 3,579 deeded acres, the Rolling Thunder Ranch offers a varied terrain of rock outcroppings, willow-lined draws and sagebrush ridges mixed with heavy stands of aspen and conifer trees. With 2 ½ miles of Bridger Teton National Forest border and adjacent BLM land, access to thousands of additional acreage is extremely convenient. The surrounding mountain views of the Wyoming Range and Gros Ventre Range are breathtaking, and can be seen from numerous areas of the ranch. The south boundary of the ranch lies along a geographical divide, locally known as “The Rim”, and is an important habitat for the wildlife in the area. The ranch was historically used for cattle grazing, but has been rested in recent years. A convenient road system traverses the ranch for easy touring and offers private gates to an adjoining road system in the National Forest land.
Several springs and ponds provide water for wildlife or livestock and could be enlarged and enhanced to create premium water features and trout habitat.
The Rolling Thunder Ranch is conveniently located near some of the best trout fishing in northwest Wyoming. The Green River is about 30 minutes southeast of the ranch at Warren Bridge on Hwy 191 and is a popular destination for many anglers who choose to float the river. The New Fork River is less than an hour from Rolling Thunder and offers great float fishing. The Hoback River is only 15 minutes away and provides miles of fishing access before it flows into the famous Snake River just south of Jackson Hole.

Rolling Thunder is a wildlife paradise with elk, Mule deer, Pronghorn antelope, moose, coyotes, Red fox, waterfowl, Sage grouse, Ruffed grouse, Blue grouse, hawks, eagles, songbirds and other small game animals found on the ranch. Sublette County is well known for top quality big game hunting and many hunters visit each fall to experience some of the finest hunting in the country. The Rolling Thunder Ranch offers great big game hunting and the ranch should qualify for landowner licenses for elk, deer and antelope. The resident elk herd numbers are typically over 100 animals, and often the hunting pressure on adjoining public lands pushes twice or three times that many elk onto the ranch in September and October.
There is a modest 3-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home consisting of approximately 2,750 sqft, which was built in 1978. The home has been vacant for a few years, however this homesite offers incredible views of the ranch and the Wyoming Range Mountains.
